From the producers of The Boston Wine Expo as promised we get the 1st Annual New York Wine Expo which is supposed to be the first trade and consumer wine event of this scale in New York. Strange enough New Yorkers never hosted any big events in wine industry. The expo will be held on March 7-9, 2008 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Wine lovers from New York area should consider attending the expo and we’ll expect a feedback from them regarding the quality of the event. I’m also quite curious about the attendance and type of people visiting, hopefully it will not be filled with students like in Boston. Although organized in the same manner as the Boston Expo: wine tastings and the walk-around area, wine seminars, opportunity to meet the winemakers, snack booths, etc; we expect it to be more decently presented, at least this first one.

The admittance for general public will be on Friday and Saturday. You can find out more details regarding the show hours, participant’s list and buy your tickets from here. It is expected that 150 winemakers from around the globe will present over 600 wines to sample.
